Josh Brister aka Burt Byler was born in New Orleans and grew up in Mississippi, now Madrid became his home. His early years as a singer and songwriter are a mix of carefree folk with lyrics about his quiet life in South Mississippi. Now at 30, something changed ...
It was after the series "Making a Murderer" when something inside him awoke, it seemed to explode inside his soul. The anger caused by corruption and injustice sprouted like never before, and those feelings were the beginnings of Burt Byler. "The castle of corruption" with songs like the ones that give title to the album, where he protests about slavery in the modern world and "Glory Land" that deals with the American dream.
Joan Queralt is an artist who combines folk with blues and rock. After releasing "I Miss the Waves" (RHRN, 2013) and "Welcome Home" (RHRN, 2015) she decided to join The Seasicks to record together "Time Made of Sand" (La Cupula Music, 2017). His next EP release stopped for spring 2018. Joan Queralt has highlighted the care he puts into each of his compositions and the ability he has to do improbable things with the guitar, getting to express with his as much as his voice. He has often been compared to the sonority of myths such as Jeff Buckley, Ben Howard or Elliott Smith. For example, it can boast of having some of the most emblematic stages of our country, alone or with a band, such as Sala Apolo, Razzmatazz, El Gran Teatre del Liceo, Moby Dick, participar en festivales como El Grec, Festival Gigante, Festival ERA, Petits Camaleons, Músiques Sensibles, Festival de los Jardines de Pedralbes and in 2018 The Actual Festival in Logroño in addition to having supported the international artists of the stature of Noah Gundersen, Ludovico Einaudi, This wild life or Iseo.
